Learning a language in its country of origin has become more and more popular over the last few years. This is hardly surprising as it perfectly combines the possibilities of being on holiday and, at the same time, of learning a language.
For many years now, we have offered Spanish language courses at our schools in various of the most beautiful and contrasting regions of Spain: Galicia, Castilla-Leon, Cataluña, and Andalucia.
Our Spanish Language schools are located in O Grove, Salamanca, Prado del Rey, Canet, Málaga, Denia, Granada and Barcelona; either in ancient university cities of great historical and cultural interest, or directly on the coast, where conditions are ideal both for a holiday and for learning Spanish.
Galicia, often referred to as the "Green North", is situated in the northwestern corner of the Iberian peninsula, where fjord-like estuaries, rolling forest-covered hills and isolated beaches protected by ancient Celtic strongholds form the main features of the landscape. It is a region still steeped in rural tradition: - A land of superstitions, ghostly processions and magic rituals and on a more practical level it is of course also an area justly famous for its fish and seafood, for its local wines, for its spectacular coastline and for its generous and friendly inhabitants.
The mediterrean coast and Andalucia, on the other hand, is far more "typically Spanish": hot and passionate. Bull fights and sevillanas, tiny white villages on sun basked hillsides and a history formed by the long reign of the Moorish kings give this region a character all of its own. In ancient cities such as Málaga, Seville and Granada the magic of bygone centuries comes alive at every turn. It is a land of contrasts: between Spanish and Arabic, rich and poor, 500 kilometres of sandy beaches and the 3,500 metre high snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and between the bright lights and glitz of the latest "in" disco on the coast and the peace and tranquility up the rough tracks of the mountain villages...
Spanish people are friendly and easy-going, so getting to know them and putting into practice one's new found knowledge is no problem at all. In fact it's all too easy to while away whole afternoons sitting chatting in the sun outside one of the many inviting bars, pubs, or cafes which are dotted all around our towns.
In our language courses we teach modern everyday Spanish, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate. This means that in no time at all even complete beginners are able to express themselves in most important situations, - and since learning a language shouldn't be limited to the classroom, we offer a number of cultural and leisure activities including excursions to the most important local sights, boat trips, conferences, films and typical Spanish "fiestas".
All of our Spanish Language schools are small, and offer a very personal atmosphere as well as the chance to really get to know the local people. We believe that learning the spanish language should be fun too.
By working together and pooling our expertise and resources our schools are able to provide an excellent range of academic options and free time activities at very competitive prices.
